"Connecting 13+" is a curated group exhibition of 13 artists which explores the visual language that connects artists through shared relationships, history and a common sense of purpose while exposing cultural, personal and unique characteristics of the individual artists and their work.
Exhibition Curator and Owner of Elevation Art, Guy-Vincent Ricketti said, "The plus sign symbolizes the interconnectedness resulting from a shared exhibition, the weaving together of artists and audience and their outwardly reaching collective networks. The 13 artists share a passion for art and life and are connected at this moment in time, with new connections to be made that reach beyond the borders of the opening and the exhibition.
The exhibition also features artworks by Cleveland area artists including Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) faculty members Jurgen Faust, Charles Tucker, and Gerry Vandevier; former CIA design instructor Robert Jergens; Cuyahoga Community College East painting instructor Dennis Long; Michael Castellana; Dale Goode; Susan Squires; Robert Banks and 2003 Ohio Art Council fellowship award winner James LoParo.
